Come visit a genuine village where multi-talented Tahitian craftspeople live and work. Here you will discover tattoo artists, woodcarvers, vahine weaving with pandanus and palm leaves, making flower garlands, tifaifai (appliqué quilts), and dyeing pareos. |
Each artist will give an introduction to their art and will present you their works, the history of the musical instruments, the legends and more….
Your tour will continue at the model pearl farm, at anchor a few cable’s lengths from the village. Here you will learn all the mysteries of one of the jewels of the Pacific: the black pearl. Once your visit is over you can visit the Manihi pearl boutique and marvel at the loose and mounted pearls that come straight from that island.
But that is not the end of your Tahitian wanderings.
Every opening day at 1 p.m. our restaurant invites you to
a show. Relax with glass in hand, tasting one of the local specialties, looking out over the lagoon, while the artists
of the village show off their wide range of dance skills.
